Anti-Slavery Day
Today is Anti-Slavery Day. Celebrated on the 18th of October each year, the day provides an annual opportunity to raise awareness of human trafficking and modern slavery. It is also an opportunity to encourage government, local authorities, companies and many more individuals to assess what they can do to address the problem.
As a national commercial company, we at Indepth, understand the significance of being compliant of all relevant anti-slavery laws. Only by achieving this understanding, can we work together to improve our awareness and help to eradicate modern slavery in our society altogether. We recognise the part we have to play and are committed to doing business in a sustainable and responsible way. We expect the same responsibility of all our staff, contractors, suppliers and business partners.
We would encourage everyone to use today as an opportunity to raise awareness of the presence of modern-day slavery within our society, and educate ourselves on how we can work together to eradicate it entirely.
